This year’s Worldchoice Ireland conference, ‘Flying High with Worldchoice’, is currently underway at the Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Country Club in Tullow, Co Carlow. A total of 28 business partners are holding 15-minute briefing sessions with 96 travel agents from 35 travel agencies.
The well organised and attended conference was addressed by new Worldchoice Ireland Board member Ellis Cain-Jones, Commercial Director of The Travel Network Group, which took over Worldchoice UK – and hence 50% of Worldchoice Ireland – a few years ago. This month TTNG launched Luxury Franchise and expects to have 40 such stores throughout the UK. “This new membership model is designed to protect independent retailers offering luxury holidays,” said Ellis. “Also we expect to have some 80 members of our homeworkers solution, ite, by next year.”
Welcoming the attendees, new Chairman John Haynes said: “Worldchoice now has new, younger Board members and they are – to use their own word – obsessed with Worldchoice as a product and aim to maintain and grow its position as the premier consortium in the UK and Ireland.”
