The Irish-Portugal Business Network (IPBN) will host a conference later this month (May 24 in Quinta do Lago) – ‘Why You Should Visit the Algarve this Summer’ – with the aim of drumming up tourism and corporate business between Ireland and the south of Portugal.
Among the speakers will be Quinta do Lago chief executive Sean Moriarty; Belfast businessman Richard Clingen, who recently acquired Portugal News, the biggest English-language newspaper in Portugal; Davin Simon-Santinan, head of public and corporate affairs at Ryanair; Miriam Hussey, founder of Carrick-on-Shannon-based yoga retreat Soul Space; and Quinta do Lago’s general manager, Mark McSorley.
The IPBN is the only business networking organisation jointly recognised by the Irish and Portuguese governments. It acts, chiefly, as a bridge between businesses in Portugal and Ireland looking at opportunities in both countries and beyond.
The conference will be held on May 24 and Quinta do Lago Clubhouse. It will be preceeded by a member-meet-member networking event in Dublin – at the headquarters of Quinta Capital – on May 18.
