It was barbecue time in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands as all the Canary Islands Tourist Boards came to the Gibson Hotel to promote their destinations, with a barbecue dinner following on from a workshop and video presentations.
The event was held in association with Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin and the five islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and La Gomera.
Katerina Bomshtein from Gran Canaria Tourist Board said that there has been a significant increase in the number of Irish visitors coming to Gran Canaria. There has also been major investments in renovating many of the older apartments and ongoing construction of new hotels and self-catering apartments on the island.
