Visit USA Thanksgiving Trade Night

Last night ITTN’s Sharon Jordan, Allie Sheehan and Emer Roche attended the annual Visit USA Committee Ireland Thanksgiving trade night in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane.

Like other years this year did not disappoint with over thirty-five Visit USA members in attendance including airlines, destinations and attractions. There was delicious American-themed food and lots of knowledge to be shared.

The presentations on the night were hosted by Jenny Rafter, Chairperson of the Visit USA Committee Ireland and included some insight knowledge from:

  • Visit USA – Jenny Rafter
  • Visit Florida – Gill Standeven
  • LA Tourism – Hayley French
  • Pure Michigan – Gary Fletcher
  • Greater Palm Springs – Will Hall
  • Visit Central Florida – Margaret Henriksson
  • Brand USA – Ava Mehta, who couldn’t attend on the night but we didn’t miss out on anything Brand USA as she prerecorded a message for everyone.

In true USA Fashion, there were some fabulous prizes on the night. These included picnic baskets, attraction tickets in Central Florida, luxury products from Palm Springs and the big prize on the night an €800 voucher from Aer Lingus. Congratulations to the winners of these amazing prizes.

There were also some spot prizes at the event including flights with Delta to the US and accommodation from Visit New England. Congratulations to Amanda O’Brien from American Holidays who won this!

Thank you to the Visit USA Committee Ireland for a fantastic evening. We’re planning our next trip stateside already.

I have worked in the travel industry for seven years, from working in American Holidays and The Travel Corporation I have a wealth of knowledge of all aspects of travel. Before joining ITTN I worked for Facebook which gave me the inside knowledge of the wonderful world of social media. I have a BSc in Event Management and am also a qualified beauty therapist (which definitely comes in handy in this business). Recently I joined the AWTE Ireland committee and I am enjoying working with and connecting with the network of women in travel.
