Visit Portugal & TAP Air Portugal Host Travel Counsellors In Central Portugal

The Travel Counsellors Portugal FAM trip is in full swing! The trip started on 28 September and runs until 2 October, thanks to a collaboration between Centro of Portugal and TAP Air Portugal.

Leading this exciting adventure are Carlos Oliveira from Visit Portugal, Ricardo Dinis from TAP Air Portugal, and the lucky Travel Counsellors’ on the trip include Sharon Tiernan Murphy, Brenda Flynn, Susan Stevenson, and Deborah Van Coller. Together, they’re exploring the stunning southwest region of Centro of Portugal, just an hour from Lisbon Airport.

So far, the group has been treated to some of the region’s most beautiful spots. They’ve wandered through the charming, walled village of Óbidos, enjoyed breathtaking sunsets at Foz do Arelho beach, explored the cultural treasures of Tomar, and taken part in the candlelight procession in the spiritual town of Fátima. Along the way, they’ve stayed in the eco-friendly Rio do Prado Sustainable Hotel and the welcoming Hotel Estrela de Fátima, with a visit to the delightful Luz Charming Houses.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! Next up, they’ll be hopping on bikes for a tour of Nazaré, including a visit to Praia do Norte, home to the world’s biggest wave. After that, they’ll unwind at the luxurious Praia D’El Rey Hotel, set sail on a boat tour of the Óbidos Lagoon, and round off the trip with some well-deserved wine tasting.

With so much still to come, this trip promises to be a memorable exploration of everything Centro of Portugal has to offer!
