February/March is one of the best times of the year to go to the Maltese Archipelago for festival season and has an average temperature of 20 degrees Celcius. Equally, with over 300 days of sunshine, Malta offers a year-round destination for summer and winter sun, short breaks and active holidays. Centuries of culture, stunning architecture that features in many a blockbuster movie, Blue Flag beaches, fresh Mediterranean food, wine & cocktail bars and nightclubs – Malta has it all.
ITTN’s Shane Cullen chats with Ivan Beacom from Aer Lingus and Gabriela Milkova
Trade Relations Executive from Malta Tourism Authority to hear the latest on the sunshine destination in the Mediterranean.
Aer Lingus launched a direct service from Dublin to Malta’s capital city of Valletta which operates three times a week (Tues/Thurs/Sat) with convenient early afternoon departures. Ivan explains this is a year-round route and with Aer Lingus travellers getting 10kg checked luggage for free, there’s never been a better time to book a short break, head for the sunshine or adventure across the Maltese Archipelago.
