Visit Connecticut Wows Travel Media with a Dizzying Menu of Attractions Over Lunch at the Shelbourne Hotel

Visit Connecticut took over the famous Saddle Room restaurant in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel today, treating the Irish travel media to some high standard fare and a fine and tempting menu of reasons to visit one of the USA’s most inviting States.

The afternoon was presented by Tony Lane of Woodstock Communications; Tony Sheridan, President and CEO Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce; Susan Henrique, Global Travel Industry Sales, Connecticut Tourism Office; and Jenny Rafter, Head of Global Leisure Sales at Aer Lingus.

ITTN will be taking a deeper dive into all Connecticut has to offer in the coming days; and it’s a lot!

The team informed us of a dizzying array of attractions and reasons to visit – from ease of access (the State is close to New York and Boston and houses Bradley International Airport, in Hartford, where Aer Lingus flies into from Dublin in just six and a half hours!), to food (home to a huge selection of Michelin Star restaurants and America’s Best Pizza, not to mention the top seafood and it being the birthplace of the hamburger!), to entertainment (its theatres are seen as a springboard to Broadway for plays and productions), to a huge selection of attractions for adventure and family holiday enthusiasts.

We’ll keep you posted on more from this great State in the coming days. Stay tuned…
