Happy World Paella Day!
To mark World Paella Day, there are a number of activities all across the globe to celebrate Spain’s most famous dish.
Two highlights of the World Paella Day programme is Paella Week that will take place in Valencia from 16 to 26 September, and the World Paella Day Cup, an international championship between top chefs to recreate the recipe.
World Paella Day Cup
36 chefs from 20 different countries will demonstrate their own recipe for the famous dish. Over 50,000 followers have already voted for their favourite chef and their recipe on social media, helping to select the 10 finalists.
In this event, ten chefs will compete in an international tournament to discover which of them makes the best paella. Irish chef Rob Curley is competing.
The semi-finals kick off at 10.00 am and the grand finale will be held at noon.
