Turkish Airlines will be sticking with its two-class system on its long-haul flights – namely, Business Class and Economy Class – and has, effectively, ruled out the return of its Premium Economy/Comfort Class seats.
This will go for both its Boeing and Airbus made planes on long-haul routes.
In an interview with Executive Traveller, Turkish Airlines chairman Professor Ahmet Bolat said: “We are happy with our two-class configuration.”
He said the airline will, instead of reintroducing Premium Economy class, focus on enhancing its existing Business Class product.
Premium Economy was available on Turkish Airlines’ Boeing 777s, in the main. However, there was a general lack in demand for the space-consuming service, resulting in the airline missing out on space for more profitable Business Class seats.
Turkish will now keep with its Economy and Business Class offerings, and enhance the latter.
