TUI Hotels & Resorts Unveils Global Growth Strategy

TUI Group has unveiled its latest growth strategy for its Hotels & Resorts division and is moving key projects into implementation.

With new hotels and contract signings in Asia and Africa, as well as the opening of bookings for a new Robinson Club in Cape Verde, the tourism group is continuing to develop its international hotel portfolio in a targeted way. The focus is on both established and emerging holiday destinations with international demand and year-round potential.

“TUI Hotels & Resorts is developing very dynamically worldwide. With our brands such as Robinson, TUI Blue and Riu, we are expanding the portfolio step by step. Today, twelve hotel brands with more than 460 hotels worldwide belong to TUI Hotels & Resorts, with more than 70 additional hotels already in the pipeline. This strengthens our international presence, opens up new markets and creates attractive offerings for diverse target groups,” said Artur Gerber, Co‑CEO TUI Hotels & Resorts.

Asia: implementation of key projects and new market entries
Asia remains a key pillar of the growth strategy of TUI Hotels & Resorts. In China and Southeast Asia, TUI now operates 25 hotels under its own brands, with more than 30 further projects in planning. Rising demand from international guests for TUI hotel brands is a major driver of future development in the region. A current milestone is the signing of a management agreement for TUI Blue Yangtze Shanghai. The five-star hotel with 103 rooms is being developed in a well-known historic building in a prime central location near People’s Square and is scheduled to open on 1 June 2026. The agreement with Shanghai Donghu (Group) Co., Ltd. was presented at ITB Berlin. In Shanghai, TUI Blue will combine modern lifestyle design with a high-quality culinary concept and service offerings for both international and Chinese guests.

TUI is also working on the opening of its first TUI Blue hotel in Japan. The planned year-round mountain resort in Hokkaido will target international travellers and combine winter sports, nature experiences and contemporary lifestyle hospitality. Additional growth momentum is coming from Vietnam and the planning of further market entries in new destinations.

Africa: booking start for the new Robinson Boa Vista
TUI Hotels & Resorts is also pursuing the gradual development of its portfolio in Africa. The Group already has a strong presence in North Africa and is planning a new resort for its club brand TUI Magic Life in Agadir. At the same time, TUI is expanding its footprint in West and East Africa, including the first TUI Blue hotel in Gambia and further projects in Zanzibar.

Another significant step is the opening of bookings for the new Robinson Boa Vista. The newly built resort is available to book, with the opening planned for 6 March 2027. The club expands the Robinson portfolio in Africa and targets active holidaymakers who value sports, entertainment and high‑quality all‑inclusive offerings. The club features 322 rooms, including 20 junior suites and 10 deluxe suites with views of the sea and dunes. Its FOR ALL concept appeals equally to couples, families, solo travellers and groups of friends. Guests can expect an extensive sports and WellFit programme with beach volleyball, tennis, padel and the trending sport pickleball. The offering is rounded off by a large spa and wellness area and a comprehensive all-inclusive concept with Cape Verdean specialities, international cuisine, creative theme buffets and live cooking stations.
