Peter Hannaford, Explore Georgia’s Director – UK & Ireland, was in Dublin on Thursday 17th July to join Sharon Jordan and Carole Carmody of The Travel Travel Corporation to launch Insight Vacations’ 2015/16 USA & Canada programme at a travel media lunch in Fire.
“It is great for Explore Georgia to be associated with a premium company and product such as The Travel Corporation and Insight Vacations,” said Peter, “and also with Contiki Holidays for 18-35-year-olds – because our normal demographic is normally the 45+ age groups!
“We are particularly pleased, of course, that this year’s Insight programme includes an escorted tour of Georgia – and which is also included in another longer tour of the south and east.
“Ireland is well connected with Atlanta, our main city, but agents should also remember that parts of Georgia are only two hours from Orlando!”
Insight Vacations
Insight Vacations’ 2015/16 USA & Canada including Hawaii and Alaska programme features 16 premium and nine Gold Luxury escorted journeys. Two unique new itineraries have been added as well as the introduction of Signature Experiences across the entire collection.
Sharon Jordan, Insight Vacations Manager Ireland, said: “We have seen double-digit growth over the past six weeks and the Irish are travelling to the USA and Canada in record numbers, with many heading back for their second or third visit. The euro/dollar exchange rate and the increased transatlantic capacity are both helping!
“Whether it is a guest’s first or fourth visit and if they prefer bright city lights or the great outdoors, I am confident one of our itineraries will appeal. We have got all corners of North America covered: from the East and West Coasts, the great National Parks, the Deep South, to the elegant South Eastern states and New England plus Canada’s Maritime region.
“This year we have introduced a special new itinerary that is ideal for those seeking a comprehensive USA trip. The 22-day America the Beautiful spans 13 states from Los Angeles to New York with highlights such as Route 66, a private country western dance lesson in Texas, a guided tour of the Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium, a visit to the Graceland Mansion in Memphis and the Magnolia Plantation in South Carolina.
“Our second new itinerary is perfect for those who love the great outdoors: Canadian Rockies & the Pacific Northwest loops from Seattle to jaw-dropping scenery throughout the Rocky Mountains, Montana and Washington.”
