Travelport has today announced the launch of a cruise booking tool for travel agents in Ireland. Travelport Cruise Net features include itinerary and port information, image library, facility listings per cruise, comparison features and real time negotiated rates/conditions from cruise companies where applicable. The product is available to all agents in Ireland, regardless of which GDS they use.
Dave Walsh, Country Manager, Travelport Ireland, said: “During 2011 we heard from a number of Irish agents that there was a clear need for a product to aggregate cruise content. We have responded by launching Travelport Cruise Net, which eliminates the need to check each cruise company individually. Agents using the system are saving time on each and every cruise booking and providing their customers with a quick and easy method of making a fully informed decision. One of the most popular search criteria is for passengers wanting to stop off in a particular port. The system will search for all cruise itineraries that stop at that port in the period of time the customer wants to travel.”
Lorraine Quinn, Sales Manager Ireland, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, added: “The powerful new cruise booking tool covers all of the ships and itineraries in our popular Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises brands. We welcome the investment in the exciting service that enables agents to sell our product easily by matching the different holidays on offer to the right person or family – be they new to cruise or seasoned travellers looking for new experiences.”
Travelport Cruise Net was developed in partnership with TravelTek, one of the world’s leading cruise booking system providers.
