Travelport delivers new modern retail tools

Travelport is debuting its new modern retailing tools.

The retail platform has added new tools such as trip management and offers comparison sections.

Customers using the latest version of Travelport’s desktop tool Smartpoint, can customize itinerary quotes using Trip Quote and assisted Ticketing capabilities.

It has launched a new Trip Manager portal, offering self-service travellers to carry out transactions on the go. Agencies using Travelport can also manage hotel bookings with a self-service rules engine.

Lenka Nemcova, Head of Business Travel at OK Tours, commented: “Trip Manager provides everything our customers need to self-service, all in one place. From adding meals, bags, selecting seats and checking into their flight, it simplifies the travel process and allows customers to enjoy the experience.”

Travelport is the first global distribution system to sign deals with three European airlines (Air France-KLM, International Airlines Group and Lufthansa) and therefore continues to expand its connections globally.
