In an innovation for the 2012 Irish Travel Industry Entrepreneur of the Year Award, members of the Irish travel industry can now nominate who they consider to be the most entrepreneurial individual or company in recent years by emailing their name, company, phone number and nomination to [email protected]
The three most nominated individuals or companies will be added to a shortlist along with three nominations from each of this year’s Judging Panel – Catherine Grennell-Whyte representing the Association of Foreign Airlines; Liam Lonergan of Club Travel and winner of the inaugural 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year Award; distinguished industry veteran Declan Mescall; and Ronan Flood, Managing Editor of Irish Travel Trade News.
The Judging Panel will then select three finalists who will be asked to complete a business questionnaire prepared by the Judging Panel’s independent chairman, Stephen Murray of Grant Thornton. The responses to the three questionnaires will then be marked independently by the four members of the Judging Panel according to an agreed weighting system drawn up by Grant Thornton, and these marks will be audited by Stephen Murray to determine the overall winner.
The winner of the 2012 Irish Travel Industry Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be announced, and the Award presented, at the Irish Travel Industry Christmas Party on Friday 30th November 2012 in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin 4.
