Belfast tour operator Travel Solutions has announced a new partnership with Thomas Cook Airlines for next winter’s Balkan Ski programme. Ireland’s only direct flight to Plovdiv in Bulgaria will be operated by an A321, offering an additional 70 seats per week.
Peter McMinn, Travel Solutions’ Managing Director, said: “Bulgaria is a popular ski destination for Irish holidaymakers and we are determined to grow our business to this region by offering affordable ski holidays to a larger number of people. Our partnership with Thomas Cook Airlines allows us to increase capacity each week by almost 50% and with this increase we expect to be the largest ski operator flying from Belfast next season.”
Henry Sunley, Thomas Cook Airlines’ Director of Sales & Planning, said: “Travel Solutions customers will be thrilled at the increase in capacity offered by this larger aircraft. We are really pleased with this new partnership and expect it to be a very popular choice for their customers.”
Travel Solutions, under its Balkan Ski brand, will operate from Belfast International Airport each Sunday from Christmas through to late March 2017, offering skiers a choice of resorts.
