Travel Ledger Integrates ‘TL Pay’ Product with Expedia TAAP

Travel Ledger, the leading B2B billing and settlement platform for the travel industry, has announced the integration of its TL Pay
virtual card solution with Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP), Expedia Group’s travel agent booking platform.

This new integration enables travel agents using the Expedia TAAP portal to benefit from a fully automated virtual card payment experience when using TL Pay cards to settle bookings. Travel Ledger automatically captures all booking and payment information directly from the Expedia TAAP platform, tracking both real-time and deferred charges, and delivering already reconciled booking and card data—without any manual effort from the user.

The result is a hands-free process, where each Expedia TAAP booking paid with a TL Pay card is instantly recorded and reconciled within the Travel Ledger platform. Finance teams can view detailed booking data, payment status, and settlement information in one dashboard, with no need to manually match or reconcile transactions.

Travel Ledger’s built-in tracking and forecasting tools provide real-time visibility into current balances and upcoming liabilities, ensuring that accounts always hold sufficient funds when Expedia charges the cards. This helps prevent declined transactions and eliminates the risk
of disruptions during the booking process.

Roberto Da Re, CEO of Travel Ledger, said: “We’re excited to announce our integration with Expedia TAAP, one of the world’s leading
B2B travel distribution platforms. This development delivers a seamless experience for agents—enhancing automation, security, and profitability. By eliminating manual reconciliation and improving financial visibility, we’re helping travel companies focus more on
service delivery and less on admin.”

Through this integration, Travel Ledger effectively delivers a “dynamic statement” for Expedia TAAP transactions. Finance teams can monitor spend and upcoming payments just as they would with a traditional supplier account—but with the added benefit that settlement happens automatically via TL Pay virtual cards, rather than through manual bank transfers.

This functionality is particularly valuable for leisure travel businesses that often make bookings months in advance. By maintaining a real-time overview of issued cards, forecasted charge dates, and account balances, companies can fund their TL Pay accounts just in time, avoiding the risk of funds being tied up or misallocated.

Security is also built into the design: Travel Ledger offers granular controls at both user and supplier level, allowing companies to restrict card usage, define approved suppliers, and set spending limits—significantly reducing the risk of fraud or misuse. At the same time,
customers continue to benefit from Travel Ledger’s cash-back and incentive programmes for both card and settlement activity.

Expedia TAAP is the first supplier to be integrated at this level within the Travel Ledger ecosystem, following a period of close technical collaboration and user feedback to optimise the experience for travel companies that require advanced reconciliation and control features
when paying suppliers via virtual cards.

Robin Lawther, VP of Expedia TAAP said: “We’re confident this integration will empower travel agents using Expedia TAAP to benefit from a more seamless reconciliation and post-booking experience. Our connection with Travel Ledger reflects how Expedia TAAP continues to evolve as a best-in-class platform for agent reservations—offering smart connectivity solutions that support the broader travel agent ecosystem.”

The integration is available immediately to all Expedia TAAP agencies across Europe. Travel agents can apply for a Travel Ledger account and request their Integration Key by contacting either their Expedia TAAP sales representative or Travel Ledger directly.
