Travel Counsellors Says ‘Thanks a Billion’ to its Community

Travel Counsellors, the fast-growing technology platform for travel entrepreneurs, says ‘thanks a billion’ to its global community as it surpasses £1 billion in sales for the first time.

This record achievement cements the company’s ongoing growth amid the rising demand for personalised, expert-led travel experiences, and comprised of £735 million in leisure sales and a further £265 million generated from corporate SME clients over the rolling 12-month period*.

The Travel Counsellors community has continued to grow, with the total global number of 2,121 at the end of August.

Cathy Burke, Managing Director at Travel Counsellors Ireland commented: “We are delighted to have achieved this £1 billion sales milestone for the first time, and proud of the part that the Irish community have played in it with sales of over €52 million in the period (GBP£44 million). We’ve 85 Travel Counsellors in the Republic of Ireland and a team of 8 at our head office in Cork”.

The most popular leisure destinations during this period are similar with Irish and UK customers and include the Mediterranean, USA, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean and Cruise, while for corporate clients the USA remained the top of the list.
