As a reward for being top sellers, Gold Travel Counsellors are invited on an annual trip with their Gold TC colleagues and this year the chosen destination was Jamaica. Enjoyed by over 80 Travel Counsellors, head office support and suppliers, the group comprised 120 people from across the globe, and among them were Irish Gold Travel Counsellors Mary Foyle, Sarah McCarthy, Mandy Walsh, Rosemary Chawke, and Jennifer O’Brien.
Cathy Burke, Director of Global Business Development and GM Ireland, who also attended the trip, commented: “It is great to be able to come together and celebrate what has been a great year for the company, and more so the individual successes of our Gold Travel Counsellors, who all play such an amazing and vital part in making Travel Counsellors the special company it is.”
Staying at the fabulous Half Moon Resort Villas, Travel Counsellors enjoyed the ultimate retreat – relaxation on the terrace with a view of the gardens or ocean, and a dip in their own private pool. Each villa was staffed with a cook, housekeeper and butler. From the first cup of coffee to a night cap or two, all their needs were catered to.
Friday night kicked off with a welcome party at the Royal Pavilion Lawn, a fabulous setting with drinks and canapes galore. Jamaican adventures soon began for the Travel Counsellors the following morning as they set off on a Catamaran excursion in Montego Bay, followed by dinner at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort.
The weekend was filled with plenty of activities and opportunities for Travel Counsellors to discover even more what this fabulous island has to offer, including visits to the Good Hope Estate, Rose Hall Great House, and Mystic Mountain.
A glamorous ‘white & gold’ party was held at the stunning Secrets Wild Orchid & St James Resort before the final day of Reggae celebrations when Travel Counsellors headed to the famous Dunns River Falls.
The weekend concluded with a beautiful farewell party at Round Hill Hotel and Villas.
The whole trip was a resounding success, with many thanks to our sponsors: Jamaica Tourist Board, Celebrity Cruises, Air Charter Services, Silversea Cruises, and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
