A record number of more than 55 of Travel Counsellors’ business partners exhibited at the supplier exhibition session, or Pow Wow.
Agents were able to meet directly with representatives from a host of airlines, tourist boards, cruise lines, destination management companies, hotels, tour operators and other key suppliers and learn more about their products and destinations. These included prestige sponsors Etihad Airways, Celebrity Cruises, Emirates, and Travelport.
A number of suppliers generously offered Travel Counsellors fantastic prizes drawn throughout the event. These included:
Tourism Authority of Thailand: Brenda Murray-Flynn (above right with Emma Arnott, TAT) was the lucky winner of a stay at Vijitt Resort in Phuket and a two-night stopover in Bangkok, staying at the Pathumwan Princess.
Etihad Airways and TWX: Sherry Meagle was thrilled to win two return tickets from Dublin to Delhi compliments of Etihad Airways and a nine-night Golden Triangle tour with Shimla for two, compliments of DMC TWX, including top 5-star and heritage hotels in north India.
Kerzner International: Lisa Nahedh was delighted to win a three-night stay in Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai.
Royal Caribbean International: Roger Barrett won a cruise for two on the launch of Harmony of the Seas.
Club Med: Noreen Lane won seven nights’ accommodation for two at a choice of ClubMed worldwide resorts.
ImperaTours: Fidelma Brady was the lucky winner of a five-night stay for two on half board in either Sicily or Ischia Island.
