Tourism New Zealand has launched its new travel trade website, www.traveltrade.newzealand.com, which is now aligned with www.newzealand.com to provide a consistent look and feel. As the primary source of information to help travel sellers learn more about New Zealand and how to sell it, the site provides training tools and resources such as online modules and the 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist programme.
The redevelopment was initiated to ensure the site provides current, relevant educational resources and tools – to those new to selling New Zealand and those familiar with the country, the products and experiences available.
Gregg Anderson, Tourism New Zealand’s General Manager Western Markets, said: “The new trade website provides a strong platform to further promote the 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist programme, which is a free online training tool that helps thousands of travel sellers to increase their understanding, skills, and sales of New Zealand as a tourism destination. New content providing regional selling points has been added and new itineraries have also been developed.”
To help shape the new direction of the website and ensure content meet audience’s needs, research was completed in offshore markets, with travel agents and product managers testing website prototypes and completing tailored interviews.
