According to the UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, the first nine months of 2013 saw a record of 845 million international arrivals worldwide, some 41 million more than in the same period of 2012, equivalent to a 5% increase in growth.
All regions shared in this growth, however Europe benefited the most with an estimated 20 million more international arrivals than the same period last year.
Arrivals in the Asia/Pacific region show an increment of 6%, which is an additional 10 million arrivals.
