Tourism is expected to contribute around €1.9 trillion to the EU economy this year – representing 10.5% of the region’s total economy.
Tourism and travel related employment – across the EU – is expected to total 25.7 million people, or 12% of the total EU workforce, according to new research by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
Last year, travel and tourism generated close to €1.8 trillion for the EU economy, according to the WTTC, which was 6% ahead of pre-Covid levels.
