Tour Operators Look for Bank Holiday Boost

As the many late deals and flight-only offers on their websites attest, Ireland’s tour operators are looking to this Bank Holiday weekend for a welcome boost in bookings.

According to ITOF, the Irish Tour Operators Federation, which represents the major outbound tour operators in Ireland, its members are seeing a brisk demand for overseas holidays this weekend. “Bookings are coming in steadily and we advise intending holidaymakers to firm up their arrangements without delay,” said Kevin Nolan, President of ITOF.

“We have very little capacity left for this Bank Holiday weekend but we still offer good value holidays for the remaining weeks of August, as the ‘sun holiday season’ comes to an end.”

ITOF members account for over 90% of all outbound package holidays, and include American Holidays, Crystal Holidays, Falcon Holidays, Panorama Holidays, Sunway, Sunworld, Thomas Cook Holidays, Thomson Holidays, and Topflight.
