TIGS Ireland (Travel Industry Golf Society) Captain, Eileen Penrose has announced the winners of the charity raffle – held at last Friday’s Captain’s Day event in Ardee Golf Club, Co Louth, which raised €2,000 for the Oscar’s Kids Ireland charity.
Eileen said: “As promised, last Friday, I want to let you know the results of the above raffle. As you know this was organised in memory of Evan, the beloved 15 year old son of our industry colleague Lorraine Quinn, who recently passed away. Lorraine is currently fundraising for this amazing charity, Oscar’s Kids Ireland, who support families of children with cancer.
“We are delighted to tell you that we have raised €2,000.00 which will be handed over to Lorraine and Oscar’s Kids Ireland shortly.
“A very big ‘thank you’ to our members who donated prizes and to those who bought tickets – and congratulations to those who won!
Your have all been amazingly generous and it is very much appreciated. (list of donors and winners attached).

“For those of you who made it to ‘the Wee County’ of Louth I am sure you will agree that it was an extremely enjoyable day on my home turf and the ‘hidden gem’ that is Ardee Golf Course. To those who couldn’t make it, thank you for supporting the raffle and I look forward to seeing you all in The Castle on Friday 17 October for our last Outing of the year followed by our AGM.”
