Susan Hegarty is the company’s first Travel Counsellor for Co Carlow. Susan, who is very excited about starting her business, said: “My head is full of innovative ideas on how I can build my business. I have learned how to use the great technology that the company provides. I can’t wait to get started.”

Laura Beirne-Gormley from Killybegs previously worked for Flair Travel and a Falcon shop in Dublin. After taking a career break from the travel industry, Laura is delighted to be back in the business that she loves. She said: “I already have lots of enquiries from family and friends that I need to get working on as soon as I get home – I might even start work on the train home from Cork!”

Having worked in the travel industry in Ireland for more than 12 years, Fares Hatoum decided to take the plunge and become a Travel Counsellor to allow him to look after his loyal clients. He said: “I have always longed to own my own travel business, but the costs were prohibitive. Travel Counsellors offers me everything I need and more and I am really impressed with the professionalism of the company.”

Cathy Burke, Ireland’s General Manager, siad: “We are delighted to welcome the three new additions to our Irish Travel Counsellor family. We’ve had a number of experienced travel professionals recently deciding that now is the right time to join us; it’s great news. Often all they need is the confidence and reassurance that they can make it on their own, and we’re here to give them the facts to help them with this decision.”
