The cabin crew open days will take place in Belfast on 10th October at the Holiday Inn Express Belfast, University Street; Dublin on 13th October at the Hilton Dublin, Charlemont Place; and Limerick on 19th October at the Limerick Strand Hotel, Ennis Road.

All events commence at 9.00am and further details can be found at www.emirates.com/careers, where candidates are also asked to pre-register their interest.

Newly recruited crew will be based in Dubai, home of Emirates, which employs over 56,000 people of all nationalities, across the globe. An estimated 5,000 Irish nationals live in Dubai and since launching the Dublin – Dubai service in January 2012, Emirates has carried around 130,000 customers on the route.

Margaret Shannon, Emirates Country Manager for Ireland, said: “Emirates has a strong interest in growing the number of Irish cabin crew in the company and we have seen a fantastic response from earlier recruitment drives. We want to continue to build on this success and encourage anyone based in Ireland who is looking for a rewarding and progressive career to make the most of this opportunity. We know our customers enjoy speaking to fellow nationals during a flight, which is why we employ cabin crew from all over the world.

“The idea behind the open days is to give prospective candidates an insight into the role of cabin crew and what it means to work with one of the most dynamic airlines in the world.”

Applicants for cabin crew positions have to be at least 21 years old at the time of possible recruitment and are requested to bring an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) in addition to a full length and head and shoulders photograph. Candidates need to have a minimum arm reach of 212cm and fluency in written and spoken English. Previous experience in the service or hospitality industries will prove advantageous.
