A team of Travel Counsellors are set to enjoy an unforgettable trip to Sri Lanka on winning the company’s most recent sales incentive challenge. The company launched a competition in early April that saw agents divided into teams, competing against each other in various challenges.
The lucky team of seven Travel Counsellors will jet off for a week to discover the history, culture and stunning natural beauty of the tear-shaped island of Sri Lanka, combining the very best of the country’s many highlights, from ancient cities and emerald tea landscapes, to untamed jungles and pristine coastlines.
The trip will be hosted in partnership with Turkish Airlines and Columbus Tours.
Travel Counsellor Robert Kiernan, team captain of the winning team, said: “After only six months with Travel Counsellors, I accepted the Captaincy role! The competition was a great way to bring together Travel Counsellors. Who says you need to be in an office or have a ‘team building day out’ to work well together? No such need here, just like minded, driven and passionate people. It was great to win but I have now also built some great relationships with other TCs that I can call upon. Bring on Sri Lanka!”
The competition is just one of a number of exciting incentives that the company organises for Travel Counsellors, keeping them motivated and focused on driving their businesses forward, including global team challenges with the company’s 1,600 Travel Counsellors worldwide. The most recent global challenge saw the winning team secure their place on a Travel Counsellors exclusive trip to Canada.
Bernie Whelan, Business Development Manager, commented: “The competition was a great success and proved a fantastic way to encourage our Travel Counsellors to get those all-important sales while having fun and creating a strong sense of friendship. As a company we are firm believers in the fact that you can’t beat first-hand experience of a destination and we encourage all of our Travel Counsellors to go on educationals so they can give the best possible service to their clients.”
