Three Thomas Cook Ireland staff have just arrived back from an educational to Lanzarote and Tenerife where they were hard at work viewing lots of Thomas Cook properties. While in Lanzarote Michelle Osbourne, Elaine Behan and Stacy Anderson viewed two new Thomas Cook properties – the Lanzarote Village and the HD Beach resort – and were suitably impressed describing them as “lovely, modern properties both located near the beach”.
It wasn’t all hard work though as the staff were treated to lunch in the 4-star VIK San Antonio one day and in the 5-star Seaside Los Jameos Playa another day. The food was described as “amazing”. Huge buffet lunches were provided in both resorts with everything included, the barbeque was on the go and there was a huge selection of hot food, cold meats and salads to choose from.
The staff noted how convenient it was that all the resorts ran into one another, allowing people to get around quickly and for as little as just €6 in a taxi from Matagorda to Puerto del Carmen. Lots of excursions could be booked through the reps in resort including boat trips, water parks and the Rancho Texas Park, which are all great days out for all the family.
Next stop was Tenerife and for some on the educational this was their first visit to the island. The feedback was very positive with all those visiting saying that they were completely taken aback by the high standard of accommodation on offer in Costa Adeje. The area is ideal for anyone interested in water sports as all the accommodations offer rental services. Costa Adeje is located in in the south of the island near Los Cristianos. Thomas Cook has plenty of accommodation in these resorts to suit everyone from lively self-catering properties to family properties with full entertainment programmes, children’s clubs and even a small water park onsite at the Parque Santiago.
Meanwhile, the nearby Playa de las Americas is a haven for Club 18-30 clients with plenty of young people flocking to the area and lots of bars and live music in the area for entertainment. It’s not all partying though as there is plenty to do during the daytime too, with Siam Park nearby and plenty of water sports to choose from as well.
Finally Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island is very pretty and perfectly suited towards older clients or couples looking for a quiet holiday. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the resort and there is also a large public pool area with a bar and a snack bar that the public can use for just €4 a day. Thomas Cook has three properties in this area including the Casablanca Apartments, H10 Tenerife Playa and Hotel Botanico and the Oriental Spa Gardens.
All in all it was a very successful fam trip for the TCI staff who feel much more confident in their knowledge of these properties having seeing them first hand.
