Visitors to the Taste of Dublin at the Iveagh Gardens, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, from tomorrow, Thursday 14th June, to Sunday 17th June will be able to enjoy a Taste of Thailand (along with a Thai massage), courtesy of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and a Taste of Spain (along with a live screening of the Euro 2012 Spain v Ireland match!), courtesy of the Spanish Tourism Office.
With a Spain – San Miguel and Tasting Spain stand (J) at this popular event, Spain will have a strong presence at Taste of Dublin for the first time. A live screening of the Euro 2012 Spain v Ireland soccer match will add to the atmosphere on Thursday evening. In the Chef’s Theatre on Friday at midday, Spanish chefs will prepare regional dishes from San Sebastian, Cambrils and Lanzarote.
Taste of Dublin attracts up to 30,000 visitors each year and involves 20 of Dublin’s best restaurants, interactive master classes, two live entertainment stages and over 100 exhibitors. Visitors can pick up informative tips with culinary demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre and intimate Q&A sessions with top chefs at the Chef’s Table.
Jamie Oliver will be launching this year’s seventh annual food and drink festival and will also be giving a live cooking demonstration on stage in Ireland for the first time. Other Irish and internationally famous chefs who will feature throughout Taste of Dublin include Valentine Warner, Rachel Allen, Oliver Dunne, Ross Lewis, and Derry Clarke.
