TAP Air Portugal Sees Passenger Numbers Surge 30%

TAP Air Portugal carried 7.58 million passengers during the first half of this year, which was just over 30% higher than the same period last year.

There was a near 30% year-on-year increase in passengers on European routes – to 5.41 million – but a big driver of the growth was intercontinental travel.

TAP carried 2.17 million passengers outside of Europe in the first six months of this year, up by over 31%, with routes to Brazil, North America and Africa particularly strong.
