Leading UK short breaks tour operator SuperBreak has distributed its first euro-priced 52-page brochure to travel agents throughout Ireland, making it easy for them to sell domestic and cross-border short break packages, as well as breaks to Britain, continental Europe and beyond.
York-based Graham Balmforth, National Sales Manager, told ITTN: “SuperBreak has been in business for 33 years and is the market leader in the UK, but is less well known in the Republic of Ireland – so now we plan to change that! We have a CAR travel agent licence (number 0761) and have become an Associate Member of the Irish Travel Agents Association.
“Our 52-page dedicated Irish brochure for 2016 was distributed to agents last week, a bookable euro website has been created (www.superbreak.ie/travelagent), and agents can use a local rate number for access to SuperBreak’s contact centre and sales support teams. Wendy Cameron, our Scotland-based Business Development Manager for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, will also be calling on agents.
“Many Irish agents miss out on the potential in selling domestic short breaks but SuperBreak offers a wealth of domestic product that can be packaged with tours, travel options and more to ensure that agents earn the most from every booking. The domestic programme features 126 properties, expanding to over 250 in the next six months, and commissionable add-ons can be pre-booked at 35 key attractions, including the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Experience, Cliffs of Moher, and many more. Dublin theatre break packages include Annie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Guys and Dolls, The Commitments, and Billy Elliott.
“Cross-border breaks include Belfast, Derry and six hotels in Co Antrim and Co Down – and rail packages to Belfast include reduced rail fares.
“The euro Irish brochure also makes it easy for Northern Ireland agents to sell short breaks to Britain and elsewhere from Dublin Airport.”
Britain and Beyond
“SuperBreak’s portfolio in Britain, continental Europe and beyond includes over 5,000 hotels – and a London theatre break costs from €259 including return flights, one night in a 3-star hotel, and a top-priced theatre ticket. We also hold 40 seats in an executive box at the O2 in London – for example, the Wet Wet Wet concert at the O2 on 16th March, with one night in a 3-star hotel, costs from €119 per person.
“SuperBreak began offering short breaks of five nights or less overseas nine years ago and they include Paris, Iceland, Barcelona, Prague, Amsterdam, Dubai, New York and many, many more. Packages also feature European beach resorts such as the Costa del Sol, the Algarve, French Riviera and Costa Blanca. A three-night break in Barcelona, including return flights and b&b accommodation, is from €274 per person, for example.”
