Sun Shines for Dublin Airport Ice Cream Day

The sun shone brightly for the start of Ice Cream Day at Dublin Airport today to raise funds for this year’s three daa charities – Down Syndrome Ireland, Bee For Battens, and Make A Wish Ireland.

Pictured are Tara O’Brien and Kelly McGuirk of the Tigin group, Swords, with Dotty the Dragon, Siobhan Moore, External Communications Manager, DAA, and Sandra Boland of Down Syndrome Ireland.

Throughout the day, volunteers from Down Syndrome Ireland went through both terminals selling ice creams to passengers and staff. The event was kindly sponsored by HB Ice Cream.

“Even if you are not partial to an ice cream, we have asked passengers and airport staff  to dig deep anyway,” said DAA charity committee chairperson Siobhan Moore. “It’s all for three great causes.”
