Onboard the latest ship in the Princess Cruises fleet are Cathy Burke (Travel Counsellors), Dominic & Bernie Burke (Travel Centres), Mark Clifford (O’Hanrahan Travel), Dawn Conway (Cassidy Travel), Paul Hackett (Click&Go), Alan Lynch (Cruise Escapes), Mary McKenna (The Travel Suite), Carol Anne O’Neill (WorldChoice) and Deirdre Sweeny (Sunway).
Sunshine & Sun Princess
Our group departed Athens and the feeling of sunshine on the skin was an energy elixir. From one sun to the next, Sun Princess is a departure from the usual and an impressive step up in terms of design for Princess Cruises.
She can take 4,300 guests in 2,150 cabins with a crew of 1,600. She launched earlier this year and her inaugural summer season will traverse the Mediterranean.
Accommodation Onboard Sun Princess
I am enjoying a Deluxe Balcony. It is well-appointed, spacious and sleek. The added touch of chocolate-covered strawberries on arrival will win favour. There isn’t a shower curtain in sight.
Deluxe Balcony – 235 sqft including balcony – floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with private balcony with 2 chairs & table.
On the more affordable price point, there are the Exterior Premium (212 sqft with ocean-view window) and Interior (136-145 sqft with twin or queen bed) for guests.
At the other end of the accommodation spectrum, Sun Princess is offering Signature Sky Suites (1,262 sqft). This is a luxurious, expansive stateroom that has two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a full bath), a lounge area, a dining table and a sofa bed. It is designed for 5 guests. Along with special suite-only benefits, this stateroom includes access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and private Signature area of The Sanctuary.
The Signature Suite with balcony (304 – 636 sqft) includes all the amenities of our Signature Collection, including access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and Signature Sun Deck, a private area of The Sanctuary. Enjoy more living space, a separate seating area with a sofa bed, enhanced amenities that range from priority embarkation and disembarkation to a complimentary mini-bar setup in suite and so much more.
Cabana Mini Suite – 329 sqft including balcony and cabana. Balcony with 2-4 chairs, table and ottoman. This also has a separate sitting area with a sofa bed & coffee table. There are Reserve Collection upgrades on select Cabana Mini-Suites including access to the Reserve Collection Restaurant.
Mini Suite – 303 sqft including balcony – floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with private balcony with 2-4 chairs & table. This accommodates 2 to 4 guests so ideal for families or a group. A glass of bubbly greets guests on arrival. This has a bed and sofa bed. Enjoy Reserve Collection upgrades on select Mini-Suites including access to the Reserve Collection Restaurant.
