Stansted Airport Strikes Back On

Ground staff at London Stansted Airport could be on strike tomorrow – and on six other days up to 6^th June. The GMB union, which represents ground staff employed by Swissport at the airport, has given notice of strike action “following the breakdown of talks to resolve a dispute over rosters”.

GMB suspended threatened strike action earlier this year, over the introduction of new rosters. Talks broke down last Friday and GMB has given notice of seven days of strike action as follows:

From 05.30 on Wednesday 23^rd May until 05.30 on Thursday 24^th May

From 05.30 on Saturday 26^th May until 05.30 on Monday 28^th May

From 05.30 on Saturday 2^nd June until 05.30 on Wednesday 6^th June
