Dubai Irish Society’s St Patrick’s Day Ball 2013 takes place on Thursday 14th March at the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah. Entertainment will be provided by Dubai’s own Irish trad group Boxty, followed by Cork native Anita Williams’ jazz singing before the dancing really starts to ‘Suburban Voodoo’, which is also a primarily Irish group. Eight hundred revellers are expected at this year’s Ball.
Dubai will also be extending The Gathering invitation to The Irish Village where for one week, from 14th to 21st March, they will be celebrating the spirit of Ireland with St Patrick’s celebrations. Starting with Sir Bob Geldof live in concert on Thursday 14th March and ending with Tommy Tiernan with a Live Stand-up comedy show on Thursday 21st March, the week culminates with St Patrick’s Day on Sunday 17th March.
