Spring Hotels FAM Trip Begins in Tenerife

ITTN’s Lorraine Hales is in Tenerife for the Spring Hotels Group Fam Trip, taking place from 23–26 October, hosted by Spring Hotels and designed to showcase their flagship properties across Playa de las Américas. With visits to Hotel Vulcano, Arona Gran Hotel, Mediterranean Palace, and Cleopatra Palace – and a TTOO Fiesta costume party on the agenda later tonight – Lorraine checked into her base for the trip, Spring Hotel Bitácora, and shares her first impressions of the lively, family-focused resort.

Spring Hotel Bitácora

Lorraine’s base for the trip, Spring Hotel Bitácora sits right in the centre of Playa de las Américas and delivers a high-energy resort experience geared towards families. There are water slides and lively pool areas, as well as a packed schedule of daytime and evening entertainment. It’s a place where there’s always something happening. While the atmosphere is geared towards families, couples looking for a fun, social environment will also feel right at home.

The hotel buzzes with energy from its splash-tastic water slides and activity-packed pool areas to the upbeat, high energy resort style entertainment that keeps both kids and adults smiling all day.

Rooms are spacious, bright, and modern, many offering views of the pool or ocean. Interiors are designed for comfort and convenience, especially for families. Dining is buffet-style with plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and regular themed evenings to keep things interesting.

What makes Bitácora stand out is its well laid out amenities. Activities for all age groups. A great choice for families or couples who enjoy a lively atmosphere with quality service.

Top tip: Don’t miss the rooftop Up! Lounge for sunset drinks, a little slice of adult-only calm above the buzz.

Best for: Families, multi generational who like activity and energy.

Spring Hotel Vulcano

For those looking for a touch of sophistication, Hotel Vulcano is the perfect  escape. The décor is sleek and contemporary, with a tropical atrium that gives the entire space a calm, resort-luxe feel. This is not an adults only hotel but the childrens activities are not the main focus resulting in a much quieter experience.

Service is impeccable, warm but unobtrusive. Rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and come with excellent amenities. The pool area is quiet and beautifully landscaped, ideal for unwinding with a cocktail and a good book.

Dining at Vulcano feels a step above with fresh ingredients, creative presentation, and a focus on healthy, high-quality options. The rooftop Up! Terrace offers panoramic views and a chilled, exclusive vibe that’s perfect for sunset moments.

Top tip: Book a UP! Room for access to the rooftop infinity pool and private lounge — totally worth it for an indulgent stay.

Best for: Couples, solo travellers, and anyone with a family looking for relaxation with style.
