Spanish Tourism Office Returning to Taste of Dublin with Saborea Espana

The Spanish Tourism Office and Saborea España have partnered up once again to participate in Taste of Dublin 2023 with their feature stand named Tasting Spain.

The iconic summer event takes place in the charming surroundings of Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens from June 15-18, with more than 30,000 people expected to descend upon the capital as the champagne pops for the highlight of the Irish food enthusiasts’ calendar.

Tasting Spain is a unique Spanish gastronomic experience where visitors will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of high-quality products from Spain, ranging from wines to olive oils, cheeses and high quality tapas.

Saborea España/Tasting Spain is the brand of Spanish gastronomic tourism which includes
20 Spanish destinations. Its goal is to transform gastronomic products into tourist experiences that are great value, unique and specialised. A different way of getting to know Spain, a special way of tasting each trip that goes beyond gastronomic tourism.

Guests will have the opportunity to discover different Spanish regions exhibiting within the
stand thanks to their chefs and experts who will delight them with special masterclasses and wine tastings within the space.

Visitors will be able to learn about the incredible gastronomic and tourist experiences that
you could enjoy on your next trip to Spain directly from partner destinations. This year will include areas like Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Cambrils, Mallorca and Zaragoza.

This year´s novelty is the addition of a restaurant space. Thanks to the collaboration between La Ribera, a top Spanish catering company led by Dublin-based chef Jorge Hernández, and guest chefs; Tasting Spain will present a restaurant that will sell different signature dishes on each session of Taste of Dublin, representing each partner destination in the festival.

Festival attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in a diverse range of high quality signature dishes; while enjoying the most traditional tapas from Spain.

The feature will also include a shopping area, managed this year by the Dublin-based brand A Taste of Spain, where visitors will be able to purchases gourmet products in exhibition and take with them back home the tastiest memories of the event.

Tasting Spain is also offering VIP ticketholders exclusive masterclasses held inside the FREE NOW VIP Lounge, where they can taste and learn about the different local wines and regional products from Spain. This year, the space will count with the presence of Spain’s most popular white wine, D.O. Rueda, and newest high quality wine distributor in Ireland, N The Club.

A special deserved mention is the celebration of the famous World Tapas Day on Friday 16th of June.

On this day, an exclusive presentation of Tapas will take place at the MIELE Masterclass Kitchen from 12:45pm to 2pm (Friday afternoon session) where several Spanish chefs will show-cooking their award winning tapa in a journey that will take you all across Spain.
