Spain requires a negative PCR test for all pax from high risk countries

With effect from the 23rd November,Spain will require international passengers arriving from high risk countries to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival, to allow entry at ports or airports. This requirement will be required regardless of the passenger’s nationality.

This measure will be included in the health control form, which all passengers will be required to complete prior to their into the country, and will be in addition to existing controls for all international passengers at points of entry, such as temperature checks and visual inspections.
The health control form, which all passengers must complete before entering the country, will contain a question on whether the passenger has a negative PCR test from the previous 72 hours before arrival to Spain. At any time the passenger may be asked for proof of the test. This should be an original document in Spanish or English and can be presented in paper or electronic format. If the form has not been completed digitally via the QR code from the website www.spth.gob.es or the Spain Travel Health-SpTH application a paper form will be accepted before boarding a flight. In this case it should be presented with the original certificate of having completed the diagnostic test.
Travel agencies, tour operators, air or maritime transport companies and any other agent that commercializes\sells tickets must inform passengers of the obligation to have a PCR with a negative result in order to travel. This new measure complies with the Recommendation EU 2020/1475, which aims to end the disparity in the health control models implemented by individual European Union member states.
