Singapore Airlines to Spend $1.1bn on Elevating First Class Passenger Offering

Singapore Airlines is spending $1.1bn on upgrading its first class offerings across its long haul routes as it strives to match advances being made by regional rivals such as Cathay Pacific and Qantas.

Singapore has described its move as “redefining the premium travel experience” and will see it ramp up the luxury for passengers on its fleet of 41 Airbus A350 jets across long haul and ultra long range routes.

The upgrade will involve the addition of a luxury first class, personal cabins with beds and private doors, more business seats, enhanced inflight entertainment offerings and a smaller premium economy section.

The new additions will come on stream between early 2026 and the end of 2030.
