SAS Introduces SAS Go Light

On 8th September, SAS will be introducing a new concept, SAS Go Light. This new offering is a supplement to the existing SAS Go and SAS Plus, and will be available on routes between Scandinavia and Ireland and other European destinations.

SAS Go Light is aimed at customers who want to travel only carrying hand luggage and secure their seats at the lowest possible price. The new venture is ideal for passengers who are going on weekend breaks or travelling for business and who do not require lots of luggage. SAS Go Light tickets will be around €14 cheaper than SAS Go, meaning that frequent travellers can make significant savings throughout the year.

SAS Go Light is now available on routes between Scandinavia and Ireland, Finland, France, Greece, the Netherlands and Spain. Like all SAS products, tickets can be re-booked within 24 hours, seats can be selected 22 hours before departure and there is complimentary tea and coffee on board.

SAS Go Light passengers still have the option to pay for access to SAS airport lounges and to take extra luggage for €25. As always, Silver, Gold and Diamond members will be able to check in luggage at no additional cost.

Alan Sparling of Airline Sales & Marketing, GSA for SAS in Ireland, said: “We are delighted that SAS has chosen Ireland as one of the launch countries for SAS Go Light. The SAS product range is set to become even wider, making it easier for SAS customers to choose the option that best matches their travel needs.”
