Scandinavian Airlines System, which this year celebrates 45 years’ flying into Ireland, has announced an increase in capacity on its three non-stop routes from Dublin to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo for 2012.
The schedules will increase as follows:
Dublin – Copenhagan: Up to 13 flights weekly, with a 4% capacity increase
Dublin – Stockholm: Up to five flights weekly, with a 9% capacity increase
Dublin – Oslo: Up to four flights weekly, with a 7% capacity increase
Alan Sparling, Ireland Manager for SAS, said: “2011 has so far shown a positive result for SAS in Ireland, with a 6% increase in passenger numbers. At the same time, SAS has increased the number of visitors coming to Ireland from Scandinavia.
“We anticipate that the increase in leisure travel from Ireland to Scandinavia will continue in 2012, hence the reason why we are putting more seats into the market.”
Equally, based on the good co-operation between Tourism Ireland and SAS in the Nordic region, SAS expects to carry even more Scandinavian holidaymakers to Ireland in 2012.
The business market is also showing steady signs of growth and, as Europe’s most punctual airline, SAS makes it a priority to provide its customers with a comprehensive timetable.
