South African Airways (SAA) has launched its spring 2016 sale offering discounted fares to selected destinations in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana, and they are valid from 1st to 31st May 2016.
South Africa is a popular destination for Irish travellers in 2016 thanks to the exchange rate, with the Euro currently worth over 16 Rand and offering great travel value; the one-hour time difference meaning minimal jet lag for shorter trips; and easy navigation by car on the left side of the road.
The Economy Class fare, including all taxes, fees and surcharges, is £499 from London Heathrow to Johannesburg (with Business Class from £2,619), Windhoek in Namibia, Victoria Fall in Zimbabwe, and to Maun and Gaborone in Botswana.
Other Economy Class fares to South Africa are £515 to Cape Town, £522 Durban, £522 Port Elizabeth, and £637 Kruger Mpumalanga.
