Ryanair Sees 9% Passenger Increase in December

Ryanair carried 12.54 million passengers in December, latest monthly traffic figures from the airline group show.

That marked a 9% year-on-year increase on the 11.52 million passengers the airline carried during December 2022.

Last month, Ryanair operated more than 72,500 flights – of which over 900 were cancelled due to the Israel-Gaza conflict.

The airline’s load factor, for the month, which reflects exactly how full its planes were, was down 1 percentage point at 91% versus the same month a year earlier.

For the rolling 12-month period from December 2022 to December 2023, Ryanair passenger numbers grew 13% to 181.8 million, with load factor rising two percentage points to 94%.
