Ryanair Posts 9% Rise in Passenger Numbers for October

Ryanair carried 17.1 million passengers across its European route network last month, according to its latest monthly operational figures.

In all, Ryanair operated more than 96,700 flights during October, although more than 870 scheduled flights were cancelled due to the Israel/Gaza conflict.

The 17.1 million passenger figure represents a 9% increase on the same month last year, when Ryanair carried 15.7 million passengers.

Load factor for the month, which measures how full planes actually are, was marginally down to 93%, year-on-year, in October.

On a rolling 12-month basis, since October 2022, Ryanair has seen a 15% like-for-like jump in passenger numbers to 180.3 million people; with load factor up 3 percentage points to 94%.
