Ryanair Marks 1st Anniversary Serving Albania by Adding More Routes

Ryanair has celebrated its first anniversary flying to and from Albania – one of Europe’s fastest growing travel hotspots – by announcing a 6-route expansion in the country’s capital, Tirana.

Ryanair began operations in Albania in summer 2023 and expanded them at the start of this year. The Irish carrier is already the fastest growing airline in Albania, carrying around 3 million passengers to and from the southern European country.

This winter season Ryanair will cover 22 routes to and from Albania; including new ones linking Tirana with Budapest, Naples, Vienna, Lamezia, Bari, and Bristol – which makes it accessible for Irish visitors, as there isn’t as yet a Dublin-Tirana route.

Just this summer, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) earmarked Albania as one of the European holiday destinations set to surge in popularity over the next 10 years.
