Ryanair has moved quickly to try to mop up passengers in the wake of rival EasyJet cancelling all of its routes to Paris-Beauvais from October.

Ryanair has launched relief fares – starting from €29.99 – “to support French citizens and visitors affected by EasyJet’s cancellation of its entire programme at Beauvais, which will take effect in October, including its routes to Lisbon and Milan.”

This winter, Ryanair will operate 20 weekly flights between Beauvais and Lisbon as well as 28 weekly flights between Beauvais and Milan, with rescue fares bookable from now until Friday 4 October.

Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s Head of Communications for France, said: “Ryanair is once again stepping in to save the day following EasyJet’s cancellation of its entire schedule to Beauvais from October, including its routes to Lisbon and Milan. This winter, Ryanair will operate 20 weekly flights between Beauvais and Lisbon as well as 28 weekly flights between Beauvais and Milan. We would be delighted to welcome passengers affected by the complete withdrawal of EasyJet from Beauvais on our regular Beauvais – Lisbon/Milan flights with our back-up fares of just €29.99,
