Ryanair has launched the first of its monthly Ryanair Prime seat sales, offering members €60 off the cost of return flights for the May bank holiday weekend.

This offer will allow “Prime” members to save almost the full cost of their €79 Prime subscription in the first month alone, adding to the substantial €420 savings they will make across the first year via free reserved seats, free travel insurance and further exclusive seat sales.

Ryanair launched its new Prime service last week, detailing how the new discounts scheme – which counts as Ryanair dipping its toes into the passenger loyalty/frequent flyer scheme arena for the first time – allows members who fly 12 times or more per year to save up to five times the €79 Prime subscription cost.

The 12-month subscription offers free reserved seating, free travel insurance and access to 12 annual member-exclusive seat sales. It is currently limited to 250,000 people.

Ryanair CMO, Dara Brady said: “This is no April Fool’s Day joke – Ryanair’s first monthly Prime seat sale goes live at midnight tonight (Mon, 31 Mar) for 24 hours, offering Prime members €60 off return flights for the May bank holiday weekend. This incredible offer will save members almost the full cost of their annual Prime subscription in the first month of sign up.

This exciting new Prime subscriber discount scheme is limited to just 250,000 customers on a first come/first served basis, so make sure you sign up now at ryanair.com and enjoy exclusive Ryanair Prime benefits for the next year.”
