The meeting was chaired by Rocío Blanco Eguren, Minister of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment; Álvaro Pimentel Siles, second deputy mayor and president of the Plenary of the Seville City Council; and Francisco Herrero, president of the Seville Chamber of Commerce, who highlighted the great work done by companies such as Ryanair, which have proven to favour the economic development of Seville.

Elena Cabrera, spokesperson for Ryanair in Spain, said:

“First of all, thank you to the Seville Chamber of Commerce for holding this great event and, above all, for this recognition of the company for its work during all these years in Seville. On behalf of Ryanair, we are proud to receive this Award for the Development of Tourism in the City.

The 55 routes we operate from Seville are a clear example of Ryanair’s contribution to the economic and tourist growth of the city. As the No. 1 airline in Spain and Europe, Ryanair connects Seville with the main national and European destinations, facilitating the arrival of thousands of travellers and generating a direct impact on employment, trade and the development of the local tourism sector. We will continue to be committed to expanding our network of connections, thus reinforcing Seville’s role as a key destination on the European map”.
