Rory McDyer Travel Ceases Trading, CAR Issues Two New TA Licences

Rory McDyer Travel Ltd ceased trading on 31st October 2015 and all existing bookings are being dealt with by Vernon Travel Ltd of Clontarf, trading as The Travel Broker. The Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR), which updated its licence lists on 3rd November, has issued two new travel agent licences, while five others were not renewed from 1st November, as well as three tour operator licences, and one other travel agent licence expired on 31st October but is still listed.

The two new travel agent licences have been issued to Chadwell Travel Ltd, 516 High Road, Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex, IG3 8EG, England, T: 0044 871 855 0521, E: [email protected], trading as A1Travel.ie and Premier Leisure (licence 0758), and to Superbreak Mini-Holidays Ltd, Artemis House, Eboracum Way, York, YO31 7RE, England, T: 0044 190 471 7362 (licence 0761). (Licence 0759 has been allocated, but not yet issued, to Hotelitrip Ltd, and licence 1760 was issued on 17th September to Irish Rugby Tours Ltd.)

The five travel agent licences that were not renewed from 1st November were Canvas Holidays Ltd (0528), Carrier Ltd (0723), Destination Partners Ltd t/a Irish Rugby Tours (0662) – but see above, Lastminute Network Ltd t/a Lastminute.com (0605), and Sakura Shamrock Consultants Ltd t/a AWL Travel (0247).

The travel agent licence that expired on 31st October, but which is still listed, is Travix Nederland B.V. t/a Vayama.ie, wegolo, cheaptickets.de and cheaptickets.nl (0732).

The three tour operator licences that were not renewed from 1st November were Affinion International Travel Ltd (243) – but see travel agent licence 0681; Fred Olsen Cruise Lines (212); and TravelPlan Partners Ltd t/a Abbey Travel (073) – but see travel agent licence 0681.
