Real Madrid enhanced their place among Europe’s footballing giants by capturing their 32nd La Liga Spanish title this month and children will have the chance to learn from the club’s top coaches at Spain’s La Manga Club resort this summer. The Real Madrid Soccer Camp will run from 16th – 27th July and is open to girls and boys between the ages of seven and 17.
Under the guidance of record-breaking manager Jose Mourinho, who has now won the national championship in four different countries, the iconic club is on the verge of beating the league’s all-time scoring record this season – making them an ideal side for youngsters to pick up advice from.
Each day of the soccer camp includes three hours’ training from the Real Madrid Foundation’s official coaches, recreational activities and lunch. In addition, those taking part will also receive a diploma for their attendance and training kit.
Prices start at €500 per person for a week-long training programme, while children can attend the soccer camp on an individual basis including a week’s full board accommodation in the resort’s four-star Las Lomas Village for €950 per person.
La Manga Club has eight international-standard grass pitches and, during the first three months of 2012 alone, some 82 different teams stayed at the 5-star resort to play and train. Liverpool, Celtic, Wigan Athletic and Borussia Dortmund are among those to have used La Manga Club’s football pitches, training facilities and accommodation in recent years.
In addition a 28-court tennis centre, three championship golf courses and a 2,000 sq m spa and fitness centre are among the leisure amenities.
La Manga Club boasts unrivalled facilities as a sport and leisure venue with the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, more than 20 bars and restaurants and is great fun for children.
